HEROD OUTWITTED

                                                        
                                                     

                                             Taken from Matthew 2: 16 a. 

    When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious....."

    

Herods are still outwitted today,

Regardless of what they do and say,

For the Sovereign God is still aware,

As He is able each mind to hear,

And every heart He can plainly read,

Hearts of wickedness, malice and greed:

Note! The deceiving heart of Herod,

Was outwitted by Almighty God.

Herods are still their evils planning,

In ways, ingeniously cunning,

But God is not taken by surprise,

Never forget, He’s the Supreme Wise,

Ere you are taken by evil’s lies,

And fall for any heart-tugging cries,

God will make light the deceiver’s plans,

So you won’t play right into their hands.

Herods are still in the Savior’s Story,

God in frail human flesh and body,

Since yet, He comes, in flesh to abide,

A fact, from the Herod’s, you can’t hide,

And so with wit and crafty planning,

You will fall prey to evil’s conniving;

Take heart, even in your not knowing,

God, all truth to You, will be showing.

Herods are still by God, outwitted,

When to you wisdom’s been transmitted,

So you’re aware of evil’s intension,

And shown how to escape its mission;

Like the Magi, you believe your Herod,

Who wants to worship, the Gift of God;

But God’s sent Word you’ll not compromise,

He’ll save you, He is the One True Wise.

                                                                      Amen!
