A CROSSING

                                              

The river is wide, the river is deep,

But God His promises will always keep,

He leads the pathway that we have to take,

Through the river He will a safe way make;

If we are following his perfect lead,

His promise is that He will intercede,

And take us through, though treacherous it may be,

The Lord God is faithful, just wait and see;

For there is no river too wide and deep,

Or mountain that’s too high, rugged or steep,

That our unfailing God cannot work through,

To make right and cross able, just for you.

Before you a crossing’s impassible,

You fear, for to you God’s invisible;

Remember, God is Lord, He does not lie,

Why don’t you His Word in you, test and try?

May you be granted the grace to believe,

That all God’s promises, you will receive.

       Amen!
