GIVE FROM THE HEART

                     

                         Give from your heart is all God requires,

                To give is what He from you desires,  

                But if your giving is not from the heart,

                God in this action will not be a part.

                         Give from your heart is still the Father’s way,

                And against giving no one can gainsay,

                But if it’s not from your heart, though it’s right,

                God will consider it wrong in His sight.

                         Give from your heart, God still makes this quite clear,

               So that all His children these words will hear,

               Unless from your heart you give your offering,

               You will only, the Lord, be offending.

                         Give from your heart for it still does matter,

               With what attitude your gifts you offer,

               For God is the Giver of gifts you own,

               Remember this when you come to His throne.

                         Give from your heart for in this God delights,

                Don’t give just because you know it is right,

                Before you offer just what God commands,

                Ask Him for cleansing of your heart and hands.
