Jesus once asked, who is My mother?
As a crowd around Him did gather,
Someone in the crowd came to His side
And said His family were outside;
Standing out there was mother Mary
With His brothers, He’s not to tarry,
Yes, Jesus heard the message they brought,
And from it, a new lesson He taught,
Jesus, to His disciples pointing,
Gave family a new appointing,
My mother and brothers, they are here,
People who follow Me everywhere,
They’ve given up all to be with Me,
These are My family, look and see;
Whoever does the will of My Father,
Is My sister, brother and mother:
Have you given all, God’s will to do?
Rejoice! You are Christ’s family too.
Amen!
