Faith

 

 

When your faith is shaken relentlessly, 

And evil pounds at you mercilessly,

Reach for the promises God has given,

Look and see how doubts from you will be driven.

As God through His Ever Present Spirit

Helps you, true faith in Him to revisit.

 

When you’re tired waiting some change to see,  

Don’t to the tempter give in and agree, 

Reach for the Word, the Lord God has spoken, 

Look and see how fears from you’ll be taken,

As God cares not if they’re many or few,

God’s Spirit will your faith in Him renew.

 

When your faith has waned and lost all its zeal, 

Because life has hit you a   crushing deal, 

Reach for the Source of all strength and power,

Look and see the love on you, He’ll shower,

As God will for you a stronghold erect,

Through His Spirit, your faith He’ll reconnect.

 

When your faith has really become fatigued, 

And can take no more because it’s so grieved, 

Reach for the grace in Him you’ve been granted, 

Look and see how you’ll no more be daunted,

As God through His own, gives favour and more,

See how His Spirit your faith will restore.

 

When your faith says, it’s too much to handle,  

When life’s tragedies come in a bundle, 

Reach for the hand of God’s living servant, 

Look and see how you’ll live His covenant, 

As God reminds you that you’re His choice, 

With a thankful heart give praise and rejoice.
