SOME WILL ENVY - Stephen, called to ‘wait on tables’ was so filled with the Holy Spirit; he made the ordinary, extraordinary. This brought jealousy and envy among some believers and the more they tried to argue with him, the more they were outwitted by his wisdom. Seeing that they could not get the upper hand on him, they resorted to underhand, wicked behaviour, to try and tarnish his good name in the Lord. Are people trying to get you to deny the goodness of God in you? Resist with all that is within you.
Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit. Let not my false accusers cause me to lose my faith in Him. Amen!
