Spirit of God, take full control of us,
Control us all in the Name of Jesus,
For controlled by You, our sinful nature,
Will no longer our hearts and minds capture.
Spirit of God, take rule of our life now,
Rule, and with Your mercy our lives endow,
For ruled by You, the will of self and mind,
Will no longer in me a welcome find.
Spirit of God, command each thought and deed,
Command, and with Your unction our lives feed,
For commanded by You, the ways of sin,
Will no longer pester and bribe within.
Spirit of God, take full control, we ask,
Control us in Jesus for every task,
For controlled by You, sin’s plots to invade,
Will no longer our words and actions raid.
