Wine can be new and it can also be old,
Now listen to what Jesus to many told,
Into old wineskins no one pours new wine,
Will you listen to these open words of Mine?
Do not in old wineskins try new wine to store,
For the new wine will burst the old wineskins for
sure,
Such folly will cause guaranteed destruction
There will be no let up, no kind of exemption,
Both wine and wineskin will come to ruin,
So never into old wineskins, new wine pour in.
If Jesus is our New Wine, what’s He saying?
About old and new, what is He conveying?
The wineskin wisdom to believers apply,
Those who for them know it's their only supply,
For Jesus is the fulfilment of God’s Law,
The old wine of works does not hold anymore,
Persist in the way of works and tradition,
It will lead one directly to destruction,
Jesus is the end of Law; all who believe,
Will by His grace and mercy, new life receive.
