BLESSED ARE THE POOR – Our Lord has a special place in His heart for the poor, those who are marginalized, ill-treated, ostracized and insulted. He keeps them as the apple of His eye and always speaks favourably on their behalf. No poor in spirit goes unnoticed by our Lord. Those who insult them and show favouritism against them are severely dealt with by Him. Be mindful of your actions to the poor.
Lord, You have shown that the poor are not to be insulted, ridiculed or treated in any offish manner. Teach us how to respect the poor. Amen!
