God's Word Of Promise

 

God’s word of promise is forever true,

He speaks not one deceiving word to you,

His word is His bond, by Himself He swears,

His sworn oath is His witness, it declares,

That our God is always to be trusted,

For His Word  has always ever lasted. 

 

God is to be trusted, believe His word,

Believe every word that from Him you’ve heard,

He speaks truth and makes it all come to pass,

But the deceiver comes nigh, then, alas,

With silvery tongue and words fake but fair,

God’s word is then pushed away far, somewhere.

 

God’s word, pushed somewhere out of our hearing,

We grab to the false, in our despairing,

God’s pure truth we no longer can extol,

Without a doubt, anxiety takes control.

No more be duped by some nice sounding voice,

God’s voice is your one and your only choice.

 

Your one and your only choice is the Lord,

To doubt His promises, you can’t afford,

When He speaks, believe Him implicitly,

For with Him there is no duplicity,

The Lord God’s word to you is sure and true,

Accept and receive all He’s promised you.
