Seek Jesus

 

When evil winds blow that you did not expect,

Seek the Lord Jesus to guide you and protect,

Ask Him to save you from faintheartedness,

To keep you in His path of righteousness,

That you don’t become disheartened, full of grief,

Losing all faith and hope in unbelief,

Thinking and feeling it’s no use believing,

Since day after day, all you are receiving,

Is more torment, and growing hostility,

And all that you do is pure futility,  

Run hard to the Lord, to Him bring every fear,

Go to Him instead of staying in despair,

He already knows your thoughts, your heart and mind,

Though you’re fatigued and depressed, He you will find,

Jesus is your promise, He’s your only hope,

He knows, in your frail state, you just cannot cope,

He wants you to trust Him and in Him to hope,

In the midst of evil, wicked winds that blow,

Blows against you that send your faith and trust low,

Call to Jesus, all your anguish on Him pour,

Believe, your Life in Him is sure and secure,

Sinners, He came expressly to help and save,

That’s why, His precious life on the cross He gave,

In seeing you burdened, God does not delight,

Come to Him, know Him, His burdens are light;

Jesus, I come, beaten down, weary and worn,

I thank You for the hope of a brighter morn.
