ASH WEDNESDAY - Today, we begin our observance of Lent, a period of forty days and forty nights. However you celebrate this day, whatever your tradition, whether or not you attend church, receive ashes on your forehead or not, one thing is certain. It is that today marks the beginning of Lent and believers have their thoughts turned to a cross on which our Lord and Saviour was crucified. It is a Cross on which we look and glory, for it is our one place of saving grace. Thank God for Lent and Ash Wednesday.
On this day Lord Jesus, I humble myself before You as my One and Only Saviour whose precious Blood was shed for me. Amen!
