A Day's Wage

A DAY’S WAGE – What does a day’s wage buy? The Word of God refers to a time when a day’s wage will get you two pounds of wheat, or six pounds of barley. Here is a sound word of wisdom, which reminds us of the fickleness and transience of things of this earth, to which we cling. It also tells us of the Sovereign Power of God to use what He has given to us - food and the ability to earn – to His Glory. Set your mind on the Spiritual and not the temporal.

 

Holy Teacher, Divine Councilor, give us understanding to hear and live as You wish. Amen!
