IN THE MIDST OF TURMOIL – There is an interestingly curious picture that’s taking place in a vessel. A dangerous, violent storm is in progress and all the people on board, crew and passengers are afraid for their lives. So severe is this life-taking storm, the sailors are frantically praying to their individual gods. However, down below deck is a man who is fast asleep. The man is Jonah.
What turmoil surrounds you? While others are afraid and frantically calling on the God they do not know, what is your position? Is the peace of God with you?
Holy, Sovereign Lord, grant me peace in the midst of the swelling storms. Amen!
