Lord in Your wonderful grace and mercy,

Your word reaches down to even me,

In simple truth You teach me Your way,

As You do teach me just how to pray;

You are our Lord, our God, our Redeemer,

Our only one and forever Saviour,

All honour and praise I give to You,

You who daily, sinful lives renew,

Renew in thought and in word and in deed,

As righteousness and truth to us You feed,

Save me from ways that with You disagree,

Lord, in mercy, grant me faith’s eyes to see.

Lord in Your blessèd comfort and peace,

Your daily care for sinners does nor cease,

Time after time I have let you down so,

Often acting as if I don’t You know,

I’ve made a mockery of Your living word,

Speaking as though I have never it heard,

Many things I see as impossible,

When You’ve said that You are always able,

Forgive me Lord for my ignorant state,

Teach me in faith, how with You to relate,

Show Yourself, the same God of yesteryear,

Lord, in mercy, grant me faith’s ears to hear.
