Widowhood

WIDOWHOOD – Widows are not uncommon in this world and we all know widows, whether in our family, our friend’s family or you may even be a widow yourself. Who is a widow really? She is a person who has by law, been freed from her covenant vows to be married to her husband. You see, death nullifies and frees from any contract. Do you know that we are all widows, in that when we died to sin, the law had no more dominion over us? Death cancelled our bondage to sin so that we are no longer contracted to sin. We are free to give ourselves – body, soul and spirit – to Jesus our Bridegroom.

 

Thanks be to God for death, for by it we are made free in Jesus. Amen!
