ACTIONS THAT HUMILIATE – We learn a tough but selfless lesson about humiliating others. David’s men have just won a mighty battle for him, but when they return, happy, and celebrating their victory, David never looks at them. His victorious soldiers are treated most shabbily and the commander, refusing to see the men so humiliated, goes to David. Rebuking the King, he brings him to his senses. Are you in some way humiliating a family member, a friend, a colleague, who has done much for you, but you are having a pity party? Step out of it! Honour the one who has befriended you.
Pull me out of all selfishness please, O Lord. Amen!
