Father God

 

In You Father God we put all our trust,

As Your frail children we know that we must,

For as we face evils, many unseen,

On You dear Father we just have to lean,

Because You are wise and You know all things,

Even the hidden pathways that life brings,

Pathways that suddenly upon us fall,

It’s to You O Father we have to call.

 

In You O Father we put all our hope,

For often with life’s trials, we can’t cope,

We are Your children, but sometimes it seems,

That evil’s taken over and it deems,

The way we must tread, mapping our paths out,

And we are left with haunting fears and doubt;

Look on us Father, for we’re weak, not strong,

Show us, yet still that to You we belong.

 

In You O Father we put all our lives,

That our dying faith Your Spirit revives

So when in depths darkness we tread,

And we cannot see any way ahead,

Hear us when we cry for You, O Father!

Reach us and save us, each son and daughter,

Assure us with Your felt, unseen presence,

Restore, Heavenly Father, with Your guidance.
