A Vow To God

A VOW TO GOD – We all make vows in many different ways, to many different people, for many different reasons. Let’s listen as Israel, make a vow to Him. You see, the attacking enemy had come upon Israel and captured some of their people. They knew that the enemy was too strong for them, so they spoke to God, telling Him that if He delivered the enemy into their hands, they vowed they would totally wipe them all out. We are told that God listened to Israel’s plea and gave the enemy over to them. Israel kept her vow and destroyed the enemy. Whatever vow you make to God, big or small, keep it.

God, that we can come to You for help as Your people long ago did, we thank You. That we can make promises to You, we thank You and seek Your help to keep them. Amen!
