Inspired from Luke 9: 11 |
He never invited them, yet the crowds came,
Those hungry for His word, the sick, the lame,
They heard that He was in a far off place,
But they were able His whereabouts to trace,
The place to which He and His friends withdrew,
Crowds found out and followed; they weren’t a few.
He saw crowds coming in numbers quite large,
Jesus welcomed them, as He took full charge,
He gave them undivided attention,
They listened with unhindered submission,
As Jesus of the Kingdom of God spoke,
O how He gave way to those simple folk.
He did not just with heavenly food them feed,
But He also met each physical need,
All those in need of healing, Jesus saw,
He healed their diseases and did much more,
None with ailments, physical or mental,
Knew from Him, denial or refusal.
Folk, uninvited came in droves to Jesus,
Is it any different, when it comes to us?
By faith we follow, and His Living Word find,
By faith, none who seek Him will be left behind,
Will we who seek, find Him to be the same?
Or must we know Him by another Name?
This Jesus, whom Scripture tells us about,
Can we believe, beyond shadow of doubt?
Is He the same Jesus for us today?
Will He behave in the same exact way?
This Jesus we seek, will He still us feed?
This Jesus we know, will seek and heed.
Amen!
