MORE THAN A PROPHET – What is more than a prophet? Jesus is speaking to a crowd about His cousin John. John did what God gave him to do from the desert. Jesus’ approach here, is to use rhetorical questioning. What did you go out into the desert to see, a prophet? Then Jesus says yes, you went to see John the prophet, but he was more than a prophet. Jesus gave spiritual, divine testimony, about John. Jesus still brings divine testimony about God’s chosen and sent servants, so we may know the, ‘more than’ of God. Are you more than who people say you are? The Spirit will reveal it all as He testifies about you.
Holy Spirit, Your testimony seals it all. Amen!
