PRONOUNCIATION JUDGES YOU – This is an overlooked and underrated fact, as we read the fate of the people who could not correctly pronounce one given word. The problem was that Ephraimites were fighting Jephthah and the Gileadites, calling them rude, insulting names. Helped by God, Jephthah and his men captured the fords of the Jordan which led to Ephraim. Any survivor of Ephraim who wanted to cross over, but lied about who he really was, was asked to pronounce a word. If he couldn’t, he gave himself away and was killed. How different is that from Jesus saying that not everyone who pronounces His Name, Lord, Lord, will enter into God’s Kingdom?
Teach my heart to correctly speak Your Name Lord. Amen!
