Shield My Mind

 

I am too weak myself to defend,

Against the powers of this fiend,

Who come to take over every mind,

And make them submissive, of their kind,

So that every captured living soul,

Under their unscrupulous control,

Is programmed and made to do their will,

Helpless, powerless, each mind they fill,

To be servants, fully obedient,

Submissive and all subservient,

O how the mind is quickly taken,

O how easily it is stolen;

When You have a mind behind Your shield,  

That mind in You is completely sealed.

 

Shield my mind Lord, with Your pow’r and might,

You are Almighty, please for me fight,

I know all powers under You fall,

Please hear and save me, for You I call,

I see before me, each sad lost mind,

And in the lineup I’m right behind,

There’s no escape, I can see and hear,

They’re getting closer, O how I fear,

For I’m too weak, their strength is real,

Lord, let them not this mind of mine steal,

Protect my mind, show that You still rule,

Overcome Lord, every evil tool,

When You have a mind behind Your shield, 

That mind in You is completely sealed.
