THE TRUE WELL – Like the Samaritan woman with whom Jesus conversed, we are quick to speak about our heritage, and proud of our ancestors. Jesus is by the well that belongs to her ancestor Jacob and she wants to know whether Jesus’ water is better than her ancestor’s. Without even recognizing what we are doing, we bring the same kind of question to Jesus. However, as He said to that woman, He also says to us that when we drink from the best source we have, it is only temporal and we will be in need again. His Living water is from everlasting to everlasting.
O gracious Lord, grant me good sense please. Amen!
