The One who never left your side?
Heavenly Father, God, all-knowing,
Faithful in His love, all-showing,
Has brought you to this time and place,
Why then the worry on your face?
Why doubt the God who’s been your stay,
The One who’s brought you to this day?
Who else but God, sought and found you,
When there was nothing you could do
To help yourself, in your dark night,
It was God who for you did fight.
Why doubt the God who’s been your keep,
O'er mountains steep or valleys deep?
He fought and won your sinful soul,
God in Jesus Christ made you whole,
Why then give room to doubts and fears?
Don’t you know God still for you cares?
Why doubt the God who’s been your watch,
In times of little, times of much?
He never failed your life to save,
From all that would your life enslave,
Life’s evils and life’s ills must come,
Doubt not! You’ve all God’s love, not
some.
Why doubt that God who’s been your lead,
Will hear you when to Him you plead?
No cry of yours, He does not hear,
Of your now plight, He’s most aware,
Grace and mercy have not run out,
Trust God! Do not give way to doubt.
