Blow Spirit Blow

 

 

Blow Spirit blow, let Your Presence be felt,

As You did with those who before You knelt,

People submitted to Your will and way,

People in prayer to You, day after day,

O how Your Spirit their whole lives did fill,

Blow Holy Spirit, blow upon us still.

 

Come Spirit come, let Your Presence be heard,

In those without lips, that can’t speak a word,

Branches in the wind, rustling around,

As leaves all wind-tossed make a living sound,

Witnessing to the unseen wind’s blowing,

Come Holy Spirit, come with sight showing.

 

Fall Spirit fall, let Your Presence be known,

As in human lives Your power is shown,

To enable us, Your power is ample,

Make each, of Jesus, a true example,

To You our lives we fully surrender,

Fall Holy Spirit, fall on us forever.

 

Move Spirit move, let Your Presence be free,

That each one submitted to You will be,

Servants of Jesus in His precious Name,

Seeking nought of this world’s fortune or fame, 

Relying on You as each life You sway,

Move Holy Spirit, move in us today.

 

Blow Spirit blow, let Your Presence remain,

As You did long ago, do it again,

Come with Your moving, fill our lives once more, 

Keep and feed us from Your bountiful store,

That faith will be seen as in days of old, 

Blow Holy Spirit, blow and make us bold.
