Be Shrewd

BE SHREWD – Oftentimes, as believers, we have the false notion that we must take everything quietly and suffer everything silently, which is being done to us.  But we are very wrong to think that, for we must at times be shrewd.  Is this not what Jesus told His disciples once, when He sent them out? I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Matthew 10: 16. However, to be shrewd one has to be clever, knowledgeable, wise and astute, knowing when and how to act. Read about Paul’s shrewdness and learn.

Holy Spirit, keep me from all false notions about how I am to be in dire situations. Grant me freedom and courage in You, to do as You will have me do. Amen!
