Clean And Unclean Food

CLEAN AND UNCLEAN FOOD – Make no mistake, the law was given to Jews about which animals they could and could not eat, which were clean and unclean, and they held strictly to it. This is found in Deuteronomy 14: 4 – 8. However, this was taken to extremes by the Jews, who also held certain people as clean and unclean, and had no dealings with them. When Jesus came, He brought a new and different understanding altogether. His word to Peter, you and me, is this. Do not call anything impure that God has made clean. Acts 10: 15b.  

 

Whether food, or days, or people, Lord, educate us and grant us learning that we may not hold any law before or above You. Amen!
