ASCENSION THURSDAY – On this Thursday, the official day celebrated as when our Risen Lord ascended into heaven, we pause like the disciples of old, mesmerized by such a sighting. Yes indeed, we have a sighting, for by faith, each time we think of our Lord’s ascending, we cannot but believe that He came from heaven, that He is God’s Son and that He is seated at the right Hand of the Father. We believe that He will come again as Judge.

 

Ascended Lord, You who sit at the right Hand of the Father, we wait for Your coming again as You have said. Amen!
