WHIT MONDAY – The Monday after Pentecost, is celebrated by some denominations, as the Pentecost celebrations are carried on. One of the features of past years and to a less stringent extent, is the wearing of white garments at church celebrations. Many reasons have been attributed to the wearing of white. One reason had to do with the coming of the Holy Spirit, like a white dove, upon Jesus as He was baptized. On this holiday for some, whether you attend a function or not, will you remember the Gift of the Spirit as God’s fulfilled promise?
Thank You God for Your trustworthiness and faithfulness, in giving us Your Gift of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
