Spare Or Spear

SPARE OR SPEAR – There are times when you are tempted to spear your enemy who has been nothing but evil to you. You have the opportunity to take full revenge and pay that enemy back with hurt and horror. But praise God, you are brought to look to God and see that He, not you, is the avenger. You stay your spear, as it were and spare the life of your enemy. Remember David! He himself spared the life of Saul, his demonically evil enemy because he remembered God.

Whenever you have been given easy opportunity to take revenge, look to God and spare your enemy’s life, don’t spear it.

 

Father God, remind me that vengeance is Yours and for You alone. Amen!
