MEMORIAL STONE – There is a very graphic picture in the Old Testament, where Joshua asks the chosen person from each of Israel’s twelve tribes, to take a stone on his shoulder, from the middle of the Jordan. Note, the Jordan at that time was in full flow and crossing it was impossible. But God came through as He always does and cut off the flow of the Jordan for them to cross over. The stones are to be a memorial to Israel forever, of God’s goodness and loving kindness to them. We too have a Stone and He is Jesus our Chief Stone. He is our forever, Living memorial of God’s grace, in bringing us over from death to life.
Lord Jesus, to You we owe our saved lives. Amen!
