More In Jesus

 

More light, more love, more beauty, Lord Jesus,

Are what we long for in each one of us,

Light which came into the world at Advent,

Love which to this dark world was heaven sent,

Beauty beyond human imagining,

In Child Jesus, in a manger lying.

 

More grace, more goodwill, more peace, Lord Jesus,

We pray and seek from Your store most bounteous,

Grace which was announced to us at Advent, 

Goodwill that to all the peoples was meant,

Peace, surpassing human understanding,

In Christ Jesus, on a base cross, dying.  

 

More joy, more hope, more good news, Lord Jesus,

We thirst and long for from You, most righteous,  

Joy to the world came fully at Advent,

Hope, Immanuel to save us was bent,

Good News! O let there be more rejoicing,

In Conqueror Jesus, He is living.
