ABIDING FAITH – Without faith, God will never be pleased with us. This is faith that remains, faith that lasts to the end. Jesus has just told the parable of the persistent widow, whose faith will not let her give up in her asking, even when the judge is ignoring her, refusing to listen to her plea. Eventually, for selfish reasons, the judge helps her. Comparing the uncaring judge with God, Jesus states that God will be prompt to help those who cry to Him. However, will the Son of Man find faith on earth, when He comes?
Holy Spirit, ground and stake me in faith, in You. Amen!
