King Jesus

 

Jesus is born as a Babe, yet a King,

That is the Good News the wise men did bring,

They’d reached Jerusalem, let by a star,

From the East they travelled, very far,

There in the city they spoke openly,

Asking their questions most excitedly, 

Where is He who’s been born King of the Jews?

From the divine light we’ve received this Good News,

A King has been born, we just had to come,

It’s a very long distance we’ve come from,

We know He is born, His bright star we saw,

So we’ve come, Him to worship and adore,

We long only this new King to reverence,

To offer gifts, gold, myrrh and frankincense;

King Jesus, thank You for coming to earth,

We seek in us to know Your Holy birth,

Holy Spirit, You’ve brought us a long way,

Our mission, to worship Him and convey,

How much our hearts are filled with joy and peace,

Hope that brings inner freedom, sweet release,

Be born King Jesus in each seeking heart,

King Jesus I’m here, will You with me start?
