Rescued Life

  

When evil is rampant and the battle is fierce,

When faith is very weak and frighteningly scarce,

Keep looking to Jesus, He will not your forsake,

No evil under His watch, will you overtake.

 

When you feel the cold hands of evil around you,

When you see the mischief the enemy can do,

Turn ever to Jesus, though you can’t see His hand,

No evil knows vict’ry, when with Jesus you stand.

 

When the clever deceiver on your frail mind plays,

When defeatist words come, deny all that he says,

Remember promises Jesus to you has made,

He said that He is with you, do not be afraid.

 

When it seems present darkness will not move away,

When it gets darker and darker from day to day,

Jesus remains present, He is still your hope’s light,

He has not been defeated; He for you doth fight.

 

When you can’t stand it longer, this fierce waging war,

When you’re beaten and worn, you can take no more,

Pause for a moment, just listen and you will hear,

The voice of Jesus saying, it’s alright, I’m here.

 

Yes, you are much afraid, empty and powerless,

Yes, you are the perfect picture of great weakness,

Rise up! Your hope must live for your faith been healed,

Jesus in your rescued life His victory has sealed.
