CHECK YOUR HEART – Simon, a Pharisee, once had Jesus and the disciples over to dinner. It is a most pleasant and cordial time when an uninvited guest arrives. It is a woman of sin, who goes straight to Jesus and has deep personal communion with Him. In Simon’s heart and mind, he shows pure unbelief in who Jesus is. On the other hand, the woman demonstrates her pure belief in who Jesus is. Are you a Simon, or a sinner?
Lord, I’m a sinner who has come to worship You, with my best gifts. I’m not worthy, but You welcome sinners and I have come. Amen!
