Love Overcomes

 

Love has conquered! Jesus is alive,

Nothing of sin’s powers have survived,

Even the sting of death is no more,

Jesus is alive forevermore!

He arose! He lives! No more to die,

Love overcomes! ‘Tis the Victor’s cry.

 

It’s finished! It’s done! The battle’s won,

All hail! King Jesus, God’s blessed Son,

He’s risen! He lives to give us life,

Victory to us, in our daily strife.  

He arose! He lives! The grave is empty,

Love overcomes! Love strong and mighty.

 

Sin’s the victim, Love is the Victor,

Jesus is truly Lord and Saviour,

He lives! Christ’s not dead! He is risen,

Love Almighty, for us has striven,

He arose! He lives! Glorious morn,

Love overcomes! He’s our bright new dawn.

 

Jesus, sweet Jesus, You live, I know,

In me daily, You delight to show,

You are alive, healing, forgiving,

Teaching, Your resurrection living,

You arose! You live! Blessed Jesus,

Love overcomes! Love Sweet and Precious.
