Lay Them Up

LAY THEM UP – Jesus has taught this life-building lesson which we ought to follow. He openly stated the futility of laying up for ourselves, treasures on earth. Instead, we are to ensure that we take God’s words and lay them up in our hearts. His words, in our hearts, is where they are most personal and intimate. Can we, like the psalmist, pray these words? I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119: 11.

 

Father, show me how to lay up for myself, not earthly treasure, but Your Holy Words. Amen!
