NO LOVE – NO ENTRY – At the border, a man who had a valid passport, return ticket and an optimistically free spirit, but no money or access to money, was denied entry. When the immigration officer asked him how he planned to survive during his visit, he was most optimistic. He was refused entry because of one criterion. He had no money to support himself. The same is perfectly true of our entry into the kingdom of heaven. We are refused entry due to one criterion. We may have a few pieces of righteous clothing, a valid passport, in that we are born again, and we may even carry hope and joy in our hearts, but we have no love. Love is the one thing needed, for God is Love.
Father, help me to understand that without Love, I have nothing. Amen!
