Light: Not Frivolous

November 4

LIGHT: NOT FRIVOLOUS – Do not be deceived! Many educated, scholarly folk, continue to deny the seriousness of Jesus’ Words and make light of what He preaches and teaches. To such Pharisaical minds, it is frivolous, foolish and unsound. Once, when Jesus said that He was the light of the world and anyone who followed Him, would not walk in darkness, but receive the light of life, the Pharisees would not take Him seriously and saw it as pure froth.  Be wise! Take the Word of Jesus seriously. It’s a matter of life and death.

Lord, Your Word is my lamp and my light. Save me from ever treating Your Words as frivolous. Amen!

Read John 8: 12b – 13.
