| Luke 7: 12 |
It was on
the outside You met the dead,
To the place
of burial he was led,
Yet it was
O Jesus, the perfect place,
For the dead
to receive amazing grace.
It was on the
outside, not in the gate,
You gave
life to one, it was not too late,
Though those
around saw the death of all hope,
You gave
miracle, beyond human scope.
It was on
the outside, while journeying,
You met one
who brought untold sorrowing,
As his
mother and others, mourned and grieved,
You turned
grief to joy, in You they believed.
It was on
the outside, in view of all,
You spoke to
a dead man and him did call,
The world
was watching, for the crowds were large,
Even on the
outside, God’s still in charge.
It was on
the outside, that You met me,
You stopped my living, just to set me free.
Free from
bondage, the death of deep sorrow,
Giving me
hope for a new tomorrow.
It is on the outside, God still meets the
‘dead,’
Lives that
by great fears are controlled and led,
With the
eyes of the world watching Your move,
You give the
dead life, and God’s Word doth prove.
Amen!
