HOPE IN JESUS

  

                             

When things around you would your faith diminish,

When you feel like in thin air you would vanish,

Just turn your remembrance to the One true Hope,

Turn to Jesus, when you know you cannot cope.

When the strains and stress of life you’ve been bearing,

Take its toll on you and you think you’re drowning,

Remember there’s One, unseen as He may be,

Who comes in Hope, for He wants you Him to see.

When hurdle after hurdle’s placed in your way,

And hope of change takes on another delay,

Dejection then urges, Hope in Christ to end,

For not one sign of change to you He did send.

When to keep trust alive, you battle and fight,

But the enemy, despair, puts faith to flight,

He who is your Hope sees exactly your plight,

Jesus and not you, is the One of all might.

When your life spells failure to make a difference,

And nothing helps, not even your repentance,

The enemy highlights your every defeat,

As all Hope in Jesus it tries to unseat.

When you are weary from making no progress,

And you’re ridiculed with each step of regress,

Just turn your remembrance to the One True Hope,

Turn to Jesus for you know that He can cope.
