LOVE BEYOND COPING

     

      

How do I cope with Love that keeps loving,

Even when my life is disappointing?

When I have fallen and gone way off track,

Not one iota of Love do I lack;                              

Is this not love beyond mortal hoping?

Is this not love beyond human coping?

How do I cope with Love that keeps giving,

Even when Love’s displeased with my living?

Love that rains down on the wheat and the weed,

And continues the just and unjust to feed;          

Is this not love beyond understanding?

Is this not love beyond my comprehending?

How do I cope with Love that keeps saving,

Even when my life is overbearing?

Love that keeps seeking and searching me out,

For my good, not harm, is what Love’s about;      

Is this not love beyond anticipation?

Is this not love beyond my expectation?

Can you cope with Love that keeps loving,

Even when your life is not approving?

And when you take for granted, love so pure,

Does not this love remain constant and sure?    

You won’t cope with Love in untold measure,

Unless Love’s Spirit becomes your treasure.
