Feel all your pain,
acknowledge its presence,
Do not try to deny its
existence,
Because of the words people to
you speak,
Making you feel guilty, awful
and weak;
You feel your pain, for it is
very real,
Then comes the clincher that
all their words seal,
When you are told of others worse
than you,
Who suffer a lot more pain
than you do;
Your pains are compared with
others, greater,
You try to hide, but to you
they matter,
You suffer in silence, craving
support,
But guilt keeps making you
feel more distraught,
As light is made of your hurt
and deep pain,
Which says, compared with
others, yours is vain;
True, others have pain, and
sometimes much more,
Compared with yours, but this
comfort is sure,
To our God of Love, your pain
does matter,
He cares whenever His children
suffer;
Feel your pain; deny not its
existence,
There’s no need to pretend in
God’s presence.
Amen!
