GRIEVE BEFORE GOD - We live in a time when many terrible things we hear no longer drive us to God. O yes, things make us sad and sorrowful. Heart-rending news can even cause us to shed a tear or two, but how deep is our sorrow? When King Hezekiah heard what the enemy was about to do, he tore off his rich garments and donned himself in sackcloth and ashes. He went into the Presence of God. Never be ashamed or afraid to go before God, in your sackcloth and ashes.
Today O Father, I am sore distressed by the evils which surround us. Have mercy on us and pity us please. Amen!
