I Am With You

 

I am with you, that is still My promise,

But you seem always my Word to dismiss,

When you are faced with many a burden,

You become all beaten and downtrodden,

You listen to voices and they deceive,

Speaking untruths you so quickly believe,

Trust Me, everything I to you do say,

I will make good in My own chosen way,

Fear not the future of good or of ill,

Fear not, I said that I am with you still,

Trust Me to keep you in My loving care,

Why do you persist in worries and fear?

Trust Me I tell you, take Me at My Word,

Over and over these words you have heard,

I am with you, so do not be afraid,

Do not give fear entrance your faith to raid,

Without faith you will of Me receive naught,

This is just what my Word to you has taught,

Believe in Me, let not faith’s eyes grow cold,

Trust Me implicitly, you’re in My hold,

So when life would bring its uncertainty,

Be certain of this one sound surety,  

I am with you, through your thick and your thin,

Believe I am with you, dwelling within.
