Closest Friend

CLOSEST FRIEND – Sadly, but truthfully, many are living with their closest friends as misery, grief, bitterness, loneliness, anxiety and many more. Whether you care to admit it or not, your life bears testimony to the fact that you know no lasting joy, peace and beauty. The writer of one of the psalms loudly declares; the darkness is my closest friend. Psalm 88: 18b. For myriads of reasons, many people claim these as not just friends, but as their closest friends. This does not have to be. Why not ask Jesus to be your closest friend? You’ll find Him, present, waiting and ready to be your best friend.  You won’t need to ask twice.

Jesus, I need Your friendship, for I deeply long for Your comfort and peace. Amen!
