Possessions

POSSESSIONS – Learn from the heart and mind of Abram who has just won a mighty victory for the King of Sodom. He has defeated the enemy who had taken all of Sodom’s people and goods or possessions. Now that the king has everything and more returned and restored to him, he offers Abram all the goods, of all kinds as his reward. Abram is not moved by all the wealth being offered him. He will not be made rich by anyone other than his God. Learn from Abram.

 

Holy God, make me like Abram in this wise and keep me from being lured into accepting riches through means which displease You. Amen!
