SUFFERING SERVANTS – Jesus once told a parable about a vineyard owner, his tenants and his servants. He sent his obedient servants to the tenants to receive some of the produce, at harvest time. The wicked, greedy self-seeking tenants caused great suffering on the owner’s servants. Is not Jesus apprising us of the fact that as His servants we too may be called upon to serve Him where suffering is inevitable? To suffer for the sake of our beloved Jesus is gain, not loss.
Lord, I am not brave but in Your given strength, I will be Your suffering servant. Amen!
